RNLA Summer Reading List
An article by Mr. Chapin Fay
As summer heats up, the RNLA would like to offer up a summer reading list. From the environment to foreign policy to the Supreme Court, the following ten books offer insight into current and past events and critical issues from a conservative perspective. All are not only both educational and terrific reads, but are required reading as part of any Republican lawyer’s summer reading list.
Review: Honor Bound: Inside the Guantanamo Trials
An article by Ms. Kimberly Loontjer
Being a citizen of the United States requires one to be engaged in the moral discussions that shape our political lives. One may call it patriotism in the same sense as our founding fathers who thoughtfully, respectfully and passionately engaged in public debate. Honor Bound returns us to that level of civility and reasoning in the ongoing debate over Gitmo and the Global War on Terror above the current emotion-driven, unmoored propaganda, which appreciates neither the complexities nor the security consequences of failure.
President's Message: The Color Purple
An article by Mr. J. Caleb Boggs III
A McCain – Obama contest promises to be unlike any Presidential race in recent memory. The personal stories of the two candidates could not be more different – Senator McCain has been tested in life and politics like few other Americans and clearly has the toughness and experience to be President.
The RNLA welcomes its members’ ideas and articles. Please submit
